Educational series: How to Personalize Dosimetry

Speaker
Dr. Lorenzo Mercolli, Medical Physicist at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Inselspital, Bern University Hospital in Switzerland

Moderator
Helena McMeekin, Clinical Applications Scientist at Hermes Medical Solutions

The level of personalization of patient dose assessments in nuclear medicine depends on the methodology that is used. In this presentation, Dr. Lorenzo Mercolli, Medical Physicist at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Inselspital, Bern University Hospital in Switzerland, will first review and compare the standard dosimetry methodologies. The challenges of personalized dosimetry in the case of Y-90 radioembolization will be discussed. The talk will end with an example of personalized dosimetry for diagnostic imaging with Rubidium-82 chloride.

The talk will be followed by a live Q&A where attendees are welcome to ask questions to Dr. Mercolli and the clinical experts from Hermes Medical Solutions.
